These terms apply when you use Langbrella or buy a Langbrella membership, lesson or other service.
Langbrella is operated by Langbrella Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 10987721). You can contact us at :info@langbrella.com
By creating an account or purchasing a service, you agree to these terms. Langbrella is currently for adults aged 18 and over.
Langbrella offers free Guest access and paid Club Membership. The features included with each type of access are described on the Langbrella website.
Club Membership is a subscription. Unless stated otherwise when you join, it continues until cancelled and payments are taken at the frequency shown when you subscribe.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal payments; you will normally retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We may change membership features or prices as Langbrella develops. We will give existing paying members reasonable notice of any change that materially affects their membership or future payments. Any special or founder pricing that has been expressly promised for a particular period will be honoured for that period.
If you buy a service online, you may have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days of entering into the contract.
If you ask us to begin providing a service during that period, you may be required to pay for the part already provided if you subsequently cancel. Different rules may apply where digital content is supplied immediately with your express agreement.
Nothing in these terms affects any cancellation or other rights you have under UK consumer law.
To cancel or ask about a refund, contact: info@langbrella.com
Private lessons and bookings
Private lessons and other bookable sessions are subject to the price and duration shown when you book or purchase them.
You may cancel or reschedule a private lesson without charge by giving at least 24 hours' notice. If you give less than 24 hours' notice or do not attend, the lesson may be charged in full.
If Langbrella cancels a private lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, the lesson will be rearranged or credited to you and you will receive one additional free lesson credit.
We understand that genuine emergencies happen and may use reasonable discretion where appropriate.
Live sessions are subject to availability and may have limits on attendance. Membership does not guarantee a place at every individual session.
Some sessions are recorded. Masterclasses, Open Mic sessions and Monthly Q&As are normally recorded; Conversation Clubs are not normally recorded. Recording and privacy arrangements are explained in our Privacy Policy and, where appropriate, when you book or join a session.
Please behave respectfully towards other participants. We may remove someone from a session or restrict access where behaviour is abusive, discriminatory, threatening, deliberately disruptive or seriously interferes with other members' learning.
Keep your login details secure and do not share your account with another person.
You are responsible for information and material you choose to post or share through Langbrella. Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive, harmful, or anything you do not have the right to share.
We may suspend or close an account where there is serious or repeated misuse of Langbrella. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the problem.
Unless we say otherwise, Langbrella's lessons, recordings, PDFs, videos, exercises, tools and other learning materials are owned by Langbrella Ltd or used with permission.
Your membership gives you a personal right to use these materials for your own learning. It does not give you the right to copy, republish, sell, distribute or commercially exploit them.
You retain ownership of original material you create and submit. Where you contribute to a shared Langbrella activity, you give us permission to display and use that contribution as reasonably necessary to provide that activity. Public promotional use of identifiable member contributions is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Langbrella may provide AI-assisted and other learning tools. They are designed to support learning, not to guarantee that every response, correction or recommendation will be accurate.
Use your judgement when relying on automated output, particularly for important professional, legal, medical, financial or other high-stakes decisions.
We aim to keep Langbrella available and useful, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access to the website, live sessions or third-party services.
We may add, remove or improve features, resources and session formats as Langbrella develops. We will not deliberately remove a substantial part of a paid service without considering the effect on existing members.
Prices are shown before purchase. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
Except where these terms say otherwise, refunds are not normally given for membership periods or services already provided. This does not affect any refund, cancellation or other rights you have under UK law.
We will provide Langbrella's services with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those rights, Langbrella is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when our contract with you began or for business losses arising from use of a service purchased primarily as a consumer.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and similar technologies.
We may update these terms as Langbrella develops or where legal requirements change. If a change materially affects an existing paid membership, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain any rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
