Let's Begin!

two-factor authentication

A colleague thinks adding a second sign-in step is pointless because their password is already complicated.

Your audience: A busy colleague who wants a 30-second reason to care.

  1. Explain. Give a clear explanation aloud in about 45–60 seconds.
  2. Make it concrete. Use a familiar everyday analogy and explain why the second factor matters.
  3. Check understanding. Ask one question that would reveal whether your listener genuinely understood.

Extra challenge: Give an even shorter version in twenty words or fewer, without sacrificing the essential meaning.
